unplug both for 1 min. then boot up then cable modem 1st till the internet light is green or on, THEN boot up the Netgear, d-link, linksys ..... router till you got the "i" internet light on, then bootup your pc last. some new modem have router built in them, so insted of 3 steps it's 2 steps, this fixes the problem for me in blackouts or power surges, but if that doesn't work call the internet service provider cause you may need a new modem.

ReplyDeleteTAKE OUT THE BATTERY IF YOUR MODEM HAS ONE THEN UNPLUG FOR 1 MIN. THEN BOOT IT UP THEN YOUR PC
