Can a Capacitor aka Cap still be bad even if it's not popped or bulged out?
how to tell or check a bad Cap? & what would a bad Cap do to a TV?
YES a Cap can still be No good if it's not popped or Leaking brown Sap like substance on the Cap is a Value like 1000uf & temp. Ex. ( 130 degrees F or C )& 5% or 10% tolerance meaning if the Cap is 100uf with 5% and it Reads out of circuit 94uf then it is borderline bad cap but if it Reads 96uf then technically you would leave it & put it back in.
Also a Bad Cap can cause TV to Click off & on or color Dots on the screen most of the time the bad caps would be popped coned out looking. just buy the cap kit for you tv model.
I have a panasonic plasma TC-P42C2 that is not powering up at all. I disconnected the power cord and all other wires and waited 10 minutes and plugged it back in but still nothing. Any suggestions?
I have a LG 42LK450. The power light stays red until I go to turn it on. It them blinks twice red and goes to the Blue color for on. I pulled the back off and all of the caps look just fine...I am at a loss for figuring this out. Any ideas??
is there a link on this blog to order cap kits? i see reference to it but cannot find it. I have a sanyo 50" plasma that was turning itself off, now wont power up at all. i replaced 4 CAPs that were visibly bad and it worked for 2 days then started shutting itself off again and now wont turn on again. All caps look ok. Thinking i should replace them all or should i buy a CAP tester to test them on the board?
my Samsung LED TV got zapped by lightning. I have checked all the caps and they all seem to be intact. Also no signs of the power surge else the surge protector would be destroyed. How can I fix my TV. Its a UN55B7000WFXZA. Please help.
