buy USB- memory-drive then format it by right click on "usb-drive icon Format, (file-system) to "fat32" then make 2 folders "ps3" & "update" put ps3 update inside "update" folder which is inside the "ps3" folder but 1st backup your ps3 data to 2nd usb in ps3 system settings. Hope that Helps 8^)
Good morning. I have a concern about my ps3. About a month ago it restarted and gave you the 6 options and I chose 3. It then switched to a blue screen (no error code) just stating the hdd was corrupted press x. Yesterday I followed you're instructions to format the hdd and downld the new software from Sony. I created the folder and subfolders on my memory stick. Refitted the formatted hdd and plugged in the memory stick. Switched it on. And everything went as you said. Right to the very end where it states it will reboot but it doesn't. We then switch it off at the psu and reboot it as normal then it still goes back to the blue screen. Any help pls. It is as if it freezes and then nothing.
